"He's.. Not the brightest. Guess being slapped around does that to a person." He mumbled, handing Connor the needle. "Just don't put it down where we're gonna kill munchkin's dog or something. Deac might murder us. That thing costs more than we do." He moved so he was sitting beside him.

[bloclquote] Connor managed a faint smile, glancing over at the little dog before filling up the needle with morphine and smacking his inner elbow until the vein was more prominent. It wasn't difficult with how malnutritioned he was. Trembling fingers pressed the needle in, quite obviously experienced in what he was doing as he shot himself up before handing it back to Perseus so the dog wouldn't get ahold of it. [/blockquote]

Perseus tossed the needle into the trash bin, leaning back against the wall. "It might not be so bad here if there was someone to sleep next to. Or make out with." He mumbled, reaching under the bed for a book. He opened it up, reading quickly over the page he'd opened it to.

"Yeah.." Connor whispered. He agreed. It would be nice to have somebody, despite his high fear. There were ways to sneak around, sure. There wasn't really any rule that he knew of for lights out, or staying out of other dorms. He guessed th wert would get in trouble for staying in a different ward for too long.Fingers traced over the carpet slowly, shrugging. "I-I don't really l-like people...but I m-miss falling as-sleep next to someone."

"Me neither. I slept with Deac until grade school. And he wouldn't let me touch him. Guess I'm not missing much. I've had Tink here in my bed so.." He shrugged. He wasn't too worried about it. They were put here to be tested on. No one said anything about happily ever after. "I can always go borrow Bandit."

Connor just nodded, not bothering say another word. He coughed huskily before tilting his head back to rest it against the bed. He was exhausted and it didn't take long for him to start dozing in his awkward position, either.

Perseus read his book quietly, barely noticing the boy there. He didn't look up until there was a soft knock on the door. He pulled himself up with the help of the bed, holding the dog back with his foot. "Can you keep- why's he here?" Deacon asked, glaring at his brother.
"Huh? Oh. He's sick." Perseus said, taking the red head from his brother before he could be yelled at.

Connor jolted at the soft knock on the door, grimacing and huffing breathlessly. He drew his knees up, then hauled himself to shaking legs, barely even able to even stand on his own anymore. It was scary, the rate he was deteriorating. He curled up once he was on one side of the bed, blue eyes closing again without so much as a word.

Perseus laid the sleeping toddler next to the boy, watching her scoot towards him sleepily for warmth. She looked odd with two white wings protruding from her back. But he loved her no less. He sat down next to them, picking his book up from the floor. He started reading again, listening to the two breathing as they slept.

Connor tensed as she scooted closer, but after awhile he nestled up against the little girl, finding comfort in somebody curled up next to him. He wrapped an arm over her, a dark wing following absently in his sleep, and he gasped faintly for breath before relaxing, not stirring again for a good hour or two.

Perseus read quietly until he heard Bandit start crying. He put his book down and walked over to her, gently stroking her hair. "Its okay, little angel.. Don't cry." He pleaded quietly, kneeling beside them by the bed.

Connor groaned at the commotion, rolling onto his side with a husky breath before looking towards them. He reached out with trembling fingers and brushed a hand over her wings, hoping it would calm her. He knew it had been soothing to him every time Quinn had done it.

"Unka PJ, him touch me." Bandit complained, pushing his hand away. Perseus rolled his eyes, thinking she was turning out just like her dad.
"Did he bite you?" He asked, and she shook her head, climbing down into his lap. "You're just like your daddy- mean and spoiled. Tell him you're sorry for being a meany head."
Bandit pouted, shaking her head. He glared at her until she finally mumbled she was sorry and pulled Tinkerbelle into her lap. "Where daddy?"
"He don't like you no more. Said you're icky. Me and him have to raise you." He teased, not surprised she shrugged it off.

Connor rolled his eyes, curling up on the bed again in mock stubborness at her apology. "I-I didn't forgive your dad," He complained, wrinkling his nose. He forgave her, of course. She was adorable. Smiling the slightest, he coughed and gagged suddenly, clutching at his cramping stomach and biting down on his lip to hide his pained groan.

"You take my daddy." She complained, hugging her dog close. It squeaked in complaint, but Bandit obviously didn't care. She watched him curiously, then leaned up to gently pat his head. "It kay. Go ni-ni." She told him quietly, nudging her dog towards him. Perseus watched them quietly, then finally spoke. "He doesn't want your daddy. Your daddy's a meany."
