[/b] if anyone didn't live up to their name, it would be thaleia. she was named after the goddess of music, but she can't hear at all. she keeps away from other people if at all possible. she's afraid of nothing, and will stand up to even the biggest grown man if she thinks he's doing wrong. thaleia is a stubborn person, especially when someone tells her she can't do something. she will go out of her way to prove people wrong. that aside, thaliea is actually a shy person, and probably won't approach anyone of her own free will. she's forced to socialize by her nurses.

REACTIONS: if you ask thaliea, she'll lie and say she lived a fairly normal life. but normal is the furthest thing from the truth when it comes to how she was raised. when she wouldn't respond to voices or sounds by the time she was a few months old, her parents assumed she was a freak and sent her to live with her mother's brother despite him being ill. she was barely three when he passed away, and was raised by the two caretakers he hired for her. the women were sisters, and sweet as can be. so thaliea grew very fond of them. she spent her childhood with her nose in books, and her head in the clouds. she taught herself to speak basic words with the help of her caretakers in hopes she wouldn't stick out as much around others.
