Jordan smiled sheepishly around his straw, amused. He kicked the water lightly, sending a splash of water towards the other male. He set his shake down, watching him in silence for a moment. A tilt of his head had his hair falling away from his face.

Perseus smiled over at him, wrinkling his nose as water was splashed his way. He'd always felt odd, having someone giving him attention that wasn't them yelling or complaining to him. And it coming from a freakishly hot guy, no less. Not that he'd ever act on what he saw. He knew his brother would slaughter him. He splashed him back, smiling playfully.

Jordan stuck his tongue out, splashing at him childishly again again before slipping back into the water again. He swam to the other end of the pool, hanging on to the edge so he didn't have to tread. He yawned, fingers running hrough his hair again slowly. "So," He breathed, smiling.

Perseus watched him swim for a moment before he turned back to his shake, sucking on it for all it was worth. He finally pulled the straw out and looked in the bottom, blowing he chocolate syrup back into the milkshake. He sipped on it quietly, raising an eyebrow as the boy spoke again. "Yeah?" He asked, smiling his way.

Jordan shrugged, watching him impishly. He felt awkward, not knowing what to say. "I dunno," He admitted sheepishly, resting his back against the wall. He chewed on the inside of his lip thoughtfully, tilting his head again with another teasing, shy smile.

Perseus wouldn't deny his heart was pounding harder as he watched him. Something about the boy was entirely too enticing. His blue eyes wandered slowly over his face. "Me neither.." He said quietly, not sure he liked the way he was feeling. He swam back to his shake, putting the straw to his lips to drink from it. "How long have you been here?" He asked.

Jordan looked away before he could start to blush, then shrugged at the question. "I don't know..awhile now. Probably two months.." It didn't feel that long, but he was so quiet, so laid back that he already had their trust. He didn't fight with the tests or the torture chamber now, just cried. He'd learn submission long ago with abuse. Perhaps it was safer.

Perseus drew his eyebrows together. "That short?" He asked, pulling himself up to sit on the pool's edge. "If Deac's been working here for.. a long long time. I've been here for like.. forever." He shrugged, picking up his cup to play with it. It didn't really bother him any. "You do anything for fun?"

Jordan shrugged. "Long enough." He'd given up hope on getting out. Still had pills, ways to be numb. Zain rarely bothered him. It could have been worse. "Ehm yeah..I play guitar, that's about all." A faint smile. "Maybe the occasional day at the arcade. You?"

Perseus brightened at the mention of a guitar. "You do? That's awesome. Deac play too. Only he plays backwards cause he's special." He finished off the rest of his milkshake, then slid down into the pool again. He was surprised no one had come to yell at them yet. "Annoy people." He said flatly, shrugging his shoulders. "I know too much to have a hobby."

Jordan scoffed. "I doubt that," He complained, swimmin back over to geab his shake and finish it off slowly. He peered back over at the other shyly again, thoughtful. "There's nothing at all that you like doing more than the rest?"

Perseus couldn't help thinking that sex and drugs were what he really loved more than anything. But he wasn't sure the former was something to admit. The latter really didn't matter in here. "Morphine." He sank under the water, then surfaced enough so that his eyes were out of the water. He finally got up to his shoulders again, pushing his hair out of his eyes. "I like reading."

Jordan's relaxed expression faded and he frowned faintly at the comment. Addiction perhaps? He couldn't be hypocritical, considering his growing pill problem, and his new discovery of the highs of cough syrup when he couldn't get a pill. The next comment ease him up a little more, a chance to change the sunject. "Ah, what kinds of things you like to read..?"

"Everything." Perseus said, splashing the water a bit. "I've never been picky. But I really like horror novels. Good ones. Not the cheesy ones they post for middle school girls struggling with hormones and stuff." He smiled, looking over the boy's face again. He really was handsome. But again he heard his brother scolding him in his head, and quickly thought of something else.
