The only thing going through Thaleia's mind was that she'd made a horrible mistake. She shouldn't have sat down, and she certainly shouldn't have came down here to get the vials in the freezer. She was going to die here with this creep and no one would be the wiser. It would be her luck, too. A deaf girl very well can't scream for help. She didn't even know how to say help. She drew her knees to her chest, shielding her broken wrist as she dropped her head. All she could do was think of pain and hope he started to feel it. But the way her testing had been going, it was doing nothing. She may as well be thinking of a trap door for him to fall through; it just wasn't going to happen.

Zabel tried slamming her up against the wall, but she had curled up. "Bad." He laughed, grabbing her hair. What about see and speak no evil? He pulled back with a cringe suddenly though , bringing hands to his head with soft whimpers. He grew pissed. "No! Stop!" He hissed, scrambling from the bed and grabbing at a supoort bream, his anklestinging with the pull. "Stop!" He screamed again, tears falling. He glared from where he was.

Thaleia watched him scramble away, her thoughts failing. Had she actually hurt him? She looked at him fearfully, terrified of what he might do. She understood now why he was locked and chained here. He was mouthing things she didn't understand, and it only scared her more. She kept her hand close to her, slowly stretching out her legs. Maybe if she was less of a threat, he wouldn't hurt her.

Mismatched eyes peered at her angrily. "Bitch." Heuttered, rubbing at his head. He tugged angrily at his chains, screaming in agitation before he laughed bitterly, face twisting into a humorless smirk. Pushing hair out of his eyes. He huffed softly, granbing his notebook off the floor. 'Get me out. Get me out. Get me out.' He wrote it over and over rapidly. There were other pages similar, repetitive words. He scratched a stick figure in, being held down, needles, then tossed it aside and got up to pace, talking umder his breath.

Thaleia watched him quietly, too scared to move. What if she got up and he attacked again? She didn't want to be stuck here with him, but she thought she might be until someone found her here. She suddenly felt like a captive. She whimpered, dropping her head to her knees. There wasn't much else she could do besides hope he might not hurt her.

The door was still ajar, it was a wonder nobody had heard the commotion and come running yet. Zabel ranted to himself before he snatched the notebook and tossed it onto his pillow, headcocking to the side. The odd creature studied the woman, a grin dancing on his lips as he hummed. He tore a piece of paper free, rolling and twisting it into a flower before offering it with a raised brow.

Thaleia looked up at him, then at the flower. She wasn't sure she wanted to take it. He could be violent if she took it, but probably worse if she didn't. She took it from him slowly, giving him a gentle smile. She put it in her casted hand, signing 'thank you' to him. She looked down at it, slowly turning it. Thaleia tucked it behind her ear, holding her hurt arm close to her.

Zabel smiled and sat down, frowning at chained ankles. Why hadn't they let him out today? Were they busy? Had they forgotten? He sighed, rubbing his hands together as he looked around. The. He reached for the notebook again and flipped to a clean page. 'Why do they forget me? Why do they hide me? Tell them. Please?' He pushed it towards her, reaching to play with the chains between his hands.

Thaleia took the notebook slowly from him, reading over the page he'd written on. She nodded slowly, tearing the page from the book. She walked over to the freezer, taking the box with the vials in it. She walked down to the people she was giving it to, handing them the box and paper. But they only laughed and sent her on her way. She made her way slowly back to the lab, playing with her paper flower. She sat down across from him, shaking her head.

Zabel sang softly, laughing occasionally and having one sided conversation. When she wandered back in, he quieted, frowning at the shake of her head. It just didn't seem fair. Why was she allowed to wander around if she didn't work here? He wasn't aware of how much a pet he really was, how he was controlled in every little aspet, how so much was hidden from him so they cpuld use him to make sure their stuff would work before they injected it in others. Who knew what crazy things were in his DNA. Hell, he couldn't even love.

Thaleia looked down at her hands, slowly twirling the flower around and around. For being so crazy, she'd never gotten anything so pretty before. She felt bad for him in a way. He didn't know what they were doing to him. He probably thought everything was against him. But she sure wasn't gonna let him out. Not after he tried to grab her. She looked up at him, offering out the flower.

Zabel shook his head, smiling before scratching at a tattooed arm. He rested his head against the wall as he scooted back on the bed, rubbing at an eye. "I know.." He murmured to himself. "'M bad." He tapped the bed, looking around. Why had she come back?

Thaleia didn't know what he was saying, so she just looked away, turning the flower around and around. She'd felt bad. She guessed that's why she'd come back. Maybe it was the look in the nurse's eyes when she gave them the paper, like he wasn't any better than a dog. She drew her knees up to her chest, resting her chin on them.

Zabel glanced over at her quietly, looking upas somebody stepped in. He brightened, standing slowly and grabbing the chains, holding them out as he waited to be unchained. Locks were undone and he was hand cuffed, unaware of the guy checking the needles and weapons in the bag against his side. Zabel was just glad to think he was going to the staff room or something for breakfast. Which clearly, he wasn't. He hummed to himself, rambling to the doctor about them forgetting to get him earlier. He was ignored though, the guy looking for the key to the torture chamber, checkingddifferent injection vials. "Shut up," He grumbled, uncuffing Zabel and shoving a beer his way. Zavel sat back down patiently.

Thaleia looked up as someone came in. She soon realized he didn't even notice she was there. Maybe it was just how quiet she was, even if she thought it was hard to miss a girl sitting in the middle of the floor. Maybe hearing people were different. She didn't know. Thaleia pulled herself to her feet slowly, pulling the list out of her pocket again. She walked over to a cabinet, checking the bottles for the one on the list.
