Derek kneeled to peer at the height of the chest thoughtfully. "Maybe, but if that's the case, they would be suffocating by being in the water. I think it definitely has to do with the lungs." He bit his lip, wincing as his tooth broke the skin. "We could always open him up. Maybe x-ray the chest first."

Deacon nodded at his suggestion, tossing the tool into the sink so he could wash it. "X-rays sounds good. You mind making a note on that paper for me to get the old x-rays of this patient?" he asked, walking over to the phone. He held it between his ear and shoulder, calling upstairs to order x-rays for the body. "Turn off the lights and see if he's glowing or some odd shit." He told Derek as he hung up the phone.

Derek noted it where Deacon wouldn't forget, and highlighted it so it couldn't be missed before watching him talk on the phone. He licked his lips carefully, making sure no blood lingered on the one he had bitten before nodding when Deacon spoke to him again. Heading to the other side of the room, he shut off the lights.

Deacon would have neared the body, but he knew that if he started walking in the dark, he would make a fool of himself and end up with a scalpel in his eye or something. He wasn't too terribly graceful in the light, let alone in the dark. 'It's a wonder I made a kid..' He thought. He didn't seen anything glowing, and nodded though he doubted Derek could see it. "You can turn them on now." He said quietly.
