Perseus ran past his now silent brother, snatching his niece up from the line. He looked back, but Deacon said nothing. He hadn't said anything in days. "Daddy's a grumpy Gus, huh Bandit?" He asked, putting the one year old on his shoulders. She giggled, pointing to the pizza. He got her pizza, and his pizza, then walked out to the table he usually sat at. He looked back to see his brother walking back out of the cafeteria with nothing in his hands. "Whatever. Daddy's dumb." He told Bandit, putting her down beside him. She pulled off the cheese, smiling up at him.

Calina looked around the dining hall holding the tray of food she was going to eat for lunch. A nice slice of pizza, an apple and a bottle of apple juice. She still never really talked to anyone here voluntarily, so she didn't really know anyone. she looked around for an empty table. She found one farthest from the doorway and sat down and hugged her self with arm as she ate with the other.

Perseus watched a little girl sit down across the room. Being who he was, he wouldn't let her eat alone. He put Bandit on his shoulders again, grabbing their trays so he could relocate across from the young girl. He sat down, putting Bandit beside him again. "Hi!" The little red head told her cheerily.
"I'm Perseus. That's Bandit. And we're here to talk to you while you eat." He told her with a smile, picking up his pizza to take a bite from it.

Calina smiled and swallowed before picking up a napkin and wiping her mouth. "Hello. I'm Calina." she smiled cheekily at Bandit. "Aren't you a cutie?" she playfully and gently pinched the girls cheeks

"I Bannit!" Bandit announced, smiling over at the girl. "Of course she's cute. She's my niece. Thank the gods she doesn't look like her father." He smirked, taking a sip out of his chocolate milk. He knew the girl wouldn't understand unless she knew his brother, but it didn't stop him from ragging on him.

Calina chuckled and reached up to grab her apple juice but she knocked it over and it spilled all over her. "why why why!" she asked instantly turning from sweet and bubbly to very frustrated and angry.

"Accidents happen. That's how my parents had Deacon." He said, throwing napkins on the puddle. He walked to the cafeteria to grab her another before he returned, sitting it down beside her tray. "Nothing that can't be fixed." He smiled, sitting down again.

"It's fine. I've seen people throw fits over someone looking at them funny. And my brother just gets mad and stops talking because he's a fucking freak." He shrugged. He felt like he was surrounded by freaks. "I ramble too. We'd be like Bonnie and Clyde. Ruining people's lives by talking their ears off." He smiled over at the girl.

Calina smiled and blushed. 'I have no idea who bonnie and clyde are...but I call bonnie...because she's a girl...and I'm a girl" she chuckled. "I'm only 11 so i have no idea who they are..."

"Yeah?" Perseus asked with a smile, picking a pepperoni off of his pizza. "When I was your age, I could name the first eight presidents, and recite the preamble to the constitution." He teased. He'd always been bright. But it wasn't until he got here that he finally understood what 'smart' was.

Perseus scoffed at her question. "A brother? No. He's lame and ignorant and currently not speaking for some.. gods know why reason. It's far cooler to have a niece."
