{outfit // for dia/tanner}
Books, thank god for them. If it hadn't been for all the books, Taillefer knew for a fact that she would have truly gone mad...well, more than she was already believed to be. In the two months that she'd roughly been here, she must have ploughed through almost a dozen of them, eager to escape the hell hole she found herself in.
When she'd lived at home, it had been difficult for her to even get a chance to sit and read a book all the way through. Once the Potter series had all but halted being written, she'd found herself not wanting to read anymore, maybe fearing that nothing would ever match up. A couple had caught her interest and she'd managed to gradually work her way through on the train rides, but the rest of the time, she'd merely forgotten them.
Her collection at home was vast, that was for sure, and she craved each one. Most, she remembered the names and the covers, and a rough plot, since all she'd read was the blurb. Many books in the library didn't match up in excitement or dramatics, but they were something at least. On the promise of her being good, one of the doctors had taken a list and said he'd try his best to get a few of the ones she wanted smuggled in, so she'd have something far better to read.
For now though, the only material she had to hand were the old books. Some were interesting, others not. But as she sat down one of the few aisles earlier in the day, one or two books on psychology and crime had caught her eye and since then, she'd had her nose buried in it. She enjoyed being there, alone. Many of the patients didn't come in the library. They were often outside, escaping while they could. Well, she was escaping, just to a completely different world.
She tucked a stray lock of teal dyed fringe behind her ear, the only noise signalling her presence being the slight cough as she cleared her throat of book dust.
{hope this is okay for you and Tanner, Dia. I put it in the library so it wasn't too out of character for him, since I noticed Tanner likes to read}
