Derek was sitting in the torture chamber only because he had to. The new injections had been interesting enough, but as they dragged a screaming Connor down the stairs, Derek frowned. "Injection for Pride. And now he's completely going against what he's being told," one of the staff growled the the other, shoving the thin male to the floor and grabbing a few different weapons of abuse. Connor snarled. "F-fucking idiots. You're worth n-noth-" He screeched, and that prideful glint faded as he was kicked.
Derek looked away until it was finally too much and he bared his teeth. "You can't fucking punish him you hypocrites!" He spat."You're the one that injected him with the damn attitude change." "Shut up, Derek. You want to protect them, you can be treated as one of them again." Derek flipped the guy off, snarling as his wrists were grabbed and he was hauled up, clipboard clattering. He was forced to the wall.
Derek gasped as a metal chain came down across his body until he was sliding to the floor and was kicked harshly aside. "Somebody get him out of here, or call someone to get him." The guy muttered after further beating. Derek groaned, not daring move.

Ace walked slowly down the hall, wringing his hands together. He didn't want to be seen until those bruises had gone away, but he knew better. That'd be weeks until they were faded. So he'd went to work with Deacon today nonetheless. He knew Deacon and Derek weren't going to hurt him. Or so he hoped.. There really was no telling. He'd thought he was safe here and he'd been proven horribly wrong.
"Doctor Rudman sent me.." He whispered to the nurse, his voice nearly gone from crying. Deacon had been far too busy to come get Derek, so he'd sent Ace. And Ace was more or less horrified of the idea of being alone with the man. It was different with the three of them together. But both men terrified him alone. Sure he trusted them. But that didn't mean they weren't scary. He lowered his gaze, looking at the colorless floor as he waited for the nurse to get Derek.

Derek lifted his head as a nurse crouched next to him. He looked at her with pained tears, heard Connor sobbing as he was struck. And then the nurse was pulling Derek to his feet and he staggered against her. His shirt was torn and bloody from the chains he had been whipped with, and he wiped blood from his lip, snarling as he was tugged up the stairs. "I c-..can walk.." He spat, pissed and ashamed.
He stumbled up the stairs and out into the hospital hallway, falling to his knees with a groan. Green eyes lifted to gaze at Ace brokenly, a beaten and bloodied mess, a fallen beast. He heard the nurse simply walk away after locking the door to the torture chamber, Connor's cries unheard from here.

Ace looked over as Derek came in, all battered and broken. The man almost reminded him of himself, all bloody and covered in marks. He watched him hesitantly for a moment before he got to his knees beside him. He gently ran his hand over the man's back, his bright blue eyes looking over him. He didn't think he'd be of much help. It just bothered him that the staff was doing this to him. It was one thing for another patient to be doing it to Ace. For Derek's own kind to be hurting him? But he was tested on before. Maybe they didn't see him as anything better than he was before. "You can lay down in the morgue.. I just cleaned all the slabs." He said quietly, folding his hands in his lap.

Derek flinched at the touch, muscles tensing up before he relaxed again and nodded. He didn't utter a word, not in the best of moods, hurting and humiliated. Sitting up slowly, he managed to haul himself to his feet, absently placing a hand on Ace's shoulder and the other on the wall to keep himself upright while they walked. He let out of Ace when they reached the morgue, staggering and catching himself in the doorway with a grunt.

Ace watched him brokenly stumble into the morgue. Somewhere deep inside of him, he wished he would have been the one beaten instead of Derek. The man had always been good to him. He didn't deserve this. He looked over at Deacon who motioned for him to come closer. Ace walked over slowly, taking the list from him. "These bodies have to go." The corner told him. He nodded and walked to the freezer, grunting as he pulled the heavy door open.

Derek couldn't bring himselfto look at Deacon, ashamed. He wiped blood from his lip, shaking as he limped towards the freezer, grimacing. "I'll help.." He insisted huskily, blood rolling down his beaten body through torn clothes. He drew i a sharp breath as he moved wrong, brows furrowing. He was upset they still treated him like such trash, as if he was worth nothing to them. But instead of stopping work to prove them wrong, Derek was the one to work himself to death trying to prove himself worthy.
