He laughed, and made sure the flower wouldn't fall before dropping his hands back to his side. "Good, I'll keep it then." Khole smirked as he stepped into the shop. It was pretty decent, better than any actual hospital coffee. His eyes wondered around, stopping on Peaches as she ordered two brownies. "If you buy my brownie, then you have to let me pay you back and you can't say no because it'll be a surprise."

Peaches chuckled at his comment, turning around with their brownies in her hands. She offered his out to him, a bright smile on her face. "Fine, I won't argue you." She said, walking over to an empty table. She climbed up onto one of the tall stools, sitting down on it. She put the brownie on the table, carefully unwrapping it. "Who could argue such a pretty face?" She asked with a smirk, popping a piece of brownie into her mouth.

Khole had barely sat down before he opened the brownie and broke off a piece to eat. "Damian, but he could argue with a fence post." He chuckled and pinched another piece of brownie off. Not only did he have something cute to look at, now he had something delicious to eat. He didn't see how his day could get any better until his gaze met Peaches. Then his brain thought of plenty of things to make his day better. "So, do you have any siblings?"

Peaches shook her head, wondering for a moment if she could get milk to go with her brownie. "Nope. Just me and my dad." She shrugged. She'd never really wanted any siblings. She liked how quiet the house was and how her father paid attention to her. And a kid would have meant another woman. She didn't want another woman just waltzing in on their life. "That's okay, though. He was always fun and made up for the lack of children in Vegas." She smiled, popping another bite of brownie into her mouth as she looked him over. He certainly was gorgeous.

He began to twist the stem of the flower tucked behind his ear, making it slowly rotate. "Vegas, hmm? That must have been fun. Did you live there?" Khole leaned forward, propping himself up with his elbow. His eyes didn't stray from Peaches that often, something about her just called for attention. It could be the clothes, or her hour-glass figure. Maybe it was all of her little quirks. Whatever it was, it seemed to have a tight hold on his attention.

Peaches smiled and nodded, breaking her brownie into little pieces. "Yep. Until I went to beauty school right after high school. Then I lived in New York for a bit working for a hair dresser near central park." She put another piece of brownie into her mouth then slid off her stool. She made sure her skirt was correct then bounced over to the counter, asking for two peppermint mocha lattes. She waited patiently for them to be fixed, then bounced back to the table, putting Khole's by his hand. "If you don't want your cherry, I'll take it." She offered with a smile.

He nodded, glancing down to his fingers as he broke off a piece of brownie. "Why'd you go from New York to here to keep records?" Khole slipped the piece of brownie into his mouth. His eyes trailed after Peaches as she disappeared from the table. A smile slipped onto his face, and he ate another piece of brownie. Picking the cherry up by the stem, he held it out for her. "Here ya go," His voice was soft, and he brought the latte closer with his free hand.

Peaches shrugged. "No one wanted to hire me. And my dad told me that they were looking for someone to keep records here. It didn't sound too hard so I came here. Didn't know it was like a black hole; you get in, but you can't get out." She smiled and took the cherry from him, putting it beside hers in her cup. She took a sip of it, then put another piece of brownie in her mouth. "These are actually really good. I mean, not as good as the ones I used to make but hey. Beggers can't be choosers." She chuckled, smiling over at him.

Khole took a look around the shop before popping his last piece of brownie into his mouth. "At least it doesn't look like a hospital. And there's not a giant puddle in the floor like there was in my old room." He gave a smirk and took a sip to wash down the little bits of brownie in the back of his throat.

Peaches smiled brightly, looking over at him. "You're entirely too handsome to have grown up any less than a prince." She teased, taking a sip of her latte.
