Deacon ran his hand slowly over his chest, tracing the lines on the floor. "It's not that I'm scared of you.. I'm scared of thinking it's okay to be the way I am.." He admitted quietly. He'd always been told being gay was wrong, that he was never going to be anything because of it. So he stopped telling people. He didn't like knowing people looked down on him for something he couldn't help. "Don't blame yourself. You didn't do it.. My mom did. After she beat the fuck out of me for years, I never wanted a woman."

Derek swallowed. "I-..there's nothing wrong with it, Deacon... and if it helps, we don't have to think anything sexual of it... I'm just trying to help you out." He knew what it was like to be mistreated by women, but in a little bit different of a way. He'd lost interest after so many one night stands. women weren't his forte, few actually knew that, though.

"If there wasn't something wrong with it, we all would be gay." Deacon said quietly, looking up at Derek. He didn't know whether to be comforted or bothered by the fact he'd said 'we'. 'This isn't a we. We aren't a we..' He thought. "Only you stand in the middle of a hallway in briefs like you own the place." He mumbled, hoping to lighten things a bit.
