Everything was empty. All Quinn could do was listen to what Connor was saying and try to feel nothing. That wasn't as easy as he wanted it to be, as it should have been. There weren't any words he could say to make any of it better, and there was no changing of the male's mind. Connor was doing all he could to push Quinn away, and there was no stopping that. Nothing to get the male to re-consider. In some way Quinn could understand that. So much was starting to click, to make sense. None of it was good. Quinn already knew what this was, what it would be. He was only drawing it out longer.
Maybe he wanted himself to suffer. Quinn did not try to say anything against the words. It wasn't that he believe they were true, he simply didn't have it in him to fight right now. He did not want to make matters worse, did not want them to be at each other's throats again. If he pushed too much, kept at this... that might happen. Quinn couldn't let it. Not now. He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and then looked at Connor again. He leaned forward to press his lips lightly to Connor's, and then drew back again. "I think I get it, you know. There will always be at least one person you can't help but go to, even when you know they're only going to kick you around again once you do." He smiled sadly, then got up and left.

Connoret the kiss tenderly, a bit surprised, and held Quinn close. But the other male was pulling away. "Quinn I- no..g-give me a-a chance to work things out..." He watched him het up, rolling over. Connor didn't have the strength to even sit up though. He would have to find him tomorrow if he didn't come back, make things right. That chance of Quinn never coming back didn't even ring in his head. But when and if it did, despite his confusion now, Connor would be utterly heartbroken.
